Clutch 2-out hitting made its first appearance in a White Sox uniform on the season in the form of Andruw Jones' go-ahead RBI single in the 8th. Thankfully the Sox, knowing that some of us have blogs to write, managed to still suck in enough areas that we all still have plenty to kvetch about. Let me count the ways...

Could the Indians be good?
For all the negativity surrounding their roster changes, the Tribe took two out of three over the South-Siders with a combination of surprisingly solid pitching and timely hits. In the wake of an 11th-inning defeat in the rubber match, one has to ask; did we underestimate the Cleveland Indians?

It's way too early and way too cold to get upset about a winnable game, but there's a good chance that when Minnesota is clinching during late September, we'll regret blowing a three-run lead to a moribund Cleveland team without wagering a fight.

Game 1: Sox gleefully capitalize on mistakes. Indians supply mistakes.
In a classic Opening Day game that tells us nothing, the White Sox victimized a Cleveland Indians team breaking in several rookies and a veteran hurler making his first start since early '08. Obviously the South-Siders showed some promise, but it's hard to imagine that this isn't the very worst that Cleveland has to offer.
